I bought this because I admired the same mats at my gym so much and because I could see that they were very durable. The mat has just enough thickness (slightly less than an inch) to make it reasonably comfortable on a hard floor. Yet it is not heavy, so it is easy to put away in a closet. It was a little expensive, but then it will obviously last me many years. Great product!
